Honeymoon Timing

Give It A Rest!

Ok, listen up, because this is important. After your wedding, you will be TIRED. Like, exhausted. Emotionally and physically drained. All the adrenaline, late night stress sessions, months of planning…it all catches up to you. Thus, I’m convinced that honeymoons were originally created as a necessary vacation for post-wedding fatigue.

That being said, I strongly advise you to take a few days after the celebrations before leaving for your trip. You’ll want time to do laundry/pack, sleep, decompress, and take it all in. If you’re doing a destination wedding or staying at a hotel, consider extending a night just the two of you after everyone leaves so you don’t have to rush out and can enjoy some R&R after the chaos! Maybe even book yourself a foot massage for the morning after, because those foot spasms and aches are REAL.
